I have played millions of hands of chemin de fer. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost a lot of money at 21. The gambling dens have made it very hard to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get flush with this method or beat the casino, nonetheless you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is centered on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a match of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely exciting at times. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years back with $750 after 20 mins using this method! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can squander a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you witness gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Bet 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the first ten dollar wager
Wager $10
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of $20
Wager $20
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager
Bet 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Bet 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 80 dollar bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Bet $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial 1 hundred and sixty dollar wager
If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is hard to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
