I have enjoyed countless of hands of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have bet on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of bankroll at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the house.

I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or defeat the house, nonetheless you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that 21 seems to be a match of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original amount.

I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years back with $750 after 30 minutes using this method! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness playing this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.

Bet $5
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager

Wager 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 wager

Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar

Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial $20 wager

Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Bet $40
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager

Bet forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80

Bet eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first 80 dollar wager

Bet 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial $160 wager

If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!

It is hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the end result will not be the same.
