I have enjoyed millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of money at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a type of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very thrilling on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Paris a number of years back with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a few months ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you witness gamble this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.

Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $160 bet
If you left at this moment you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s herculean to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
