I have gambled on millions of rounds of 21. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have gambled on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of money at blackjack. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the game.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a type of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get flush with this tactic or defeat the casino, however you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a number of years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this tactic! And a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you see wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager $5
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the original $5 wager
Wager five dollar
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Bet 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet
Bet 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar bet
Bet 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of $40
Wager 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first $40 wager
Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Bet $80
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Bet 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is iffy to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
